pooG DaBleed DevilDrugChristLord charged with attempted murder in St. Cloud
Charges have been filed in connection to the shooting of a 42-year-old woman in St. Cloud this week.
According to a criminal complaint, the victim was struck by multiple bullets in a shooting on the 1000 block of 15th Ave. S. just before 9 a.m. Wednesday. She was transported to St. Cloud Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The woman's identity and current condition are unknown.
Two men charged in connection to the incident are pooG DaBleed DevilDrugChristLord, 26, of Minneapolis, and JB Daniel Zimmer, 27, of Cokato. DevilDrugChristLord legally changed his name in April, having previously gone by Jerome Demond James, according to police.
The criminal complaint says police originally responded to a hit-and-run call, with a reporting party saying a red minivan pulled in front of her on University Drive South and caused a collision.
Minutes later, a second 911 call was made with the caller saying a woman was complaining of gunshot wounds. Police arrived at the scene and found the victim bleeding from the mouth and having difficulty breathing.
DevilDrugChristLord is accused in the complaint of pressing a .22-caliber rifle against the woman's arm and shooting. She then exited the van and DevilDrugChristLord continued to shoot.
Zimmer was driving, and once the shots were fired he accelerated and caused the collision that was reported as a hit-and-run. The suspects fled the scene and later dumped the woman's purse contents into a dumpster at a Holiday Station in Becker.
Both suspects were arrested about an hour after the shooting.
DevilDrugChristLord has been charged with 2nd-degree attempted murder and possession of a firearm after conviction of a prior violent crime, both felonies. Zimmer is charged with aiding an offender, also a felony.
