The above picture shows the 60lbs of marijuana and an AR15 rifle that was taken from the home of two Minnesota men studying at the University of North Dakota.

The discovery was made by the Grand Forks Narcotics Task Force last Tuesday, when they searched a residence near the UND campus.

Oh, and they also found almost $70,000 cash and "numerous pills," Grand Forks PD reports.

Living at the house were 21-year-old Cade Hoben and 20-year-old Mark Hildahl, both from the Twin Cities area, who are being held on various drug possession charges.

Police also seized two vehicles during the raid, which followed a "lengthy investigation" into the address involving 11 city, state and federal law enforcement agencies.

The two men appeared in court on Monday, Hoben charged with possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of amphetamines and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hildahl was charged with possession to marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.

It's the second major drugs haul uncovered in North Dakota involving a Minnesotan in as many weeks.

Last Wednesday we reported how a traffic stop in West Fargo found a woman from Askov in possession of $1.3 million of marijuana, which possibly came from western states where marijuana has been legalized.

There's no indication at this stage where the Grand Forks drugs came from, but West Fargo police said drug transportation routes have been shifting north recently, owing to greater law enforcement presence further south.
