Power restored in downtown Minneapolis
Xcel Energy says more than 6,000 were without power in the Twin Cities on Tuesday morning, KARE 11 reports. There was a fire in an underground vault housing electrical equipment, Xcel tweeted. Power was restored after noon, Xcel said.
Elsewhere on the west side of the metro area, the stormy weather is suspected in leaving nearly 3,000 customers without power, the Star Tribune reports. Those areas included Brooklyn Center, Plymouth and St. Louis Park.
Crews are working on the problems, Xcel said on Twitter.
Here's Xcel's outage page, which had indicated outages in St. Paul, too.
