Powerball jackpot grows to $320 million
The Powerball jackpot has soared to $320 million and is expected to grow larger after there were no winners in Wednesday night's drawing.
10News says the drawing was the 12th-consecutive with no winner, pushing the jackpot over $250,00 for the third time in less than a year.
A single winner would take home $198.3 million in cash. However, past experience has shown the pot is likely to grow quickly when the numbers get higher.
The jackpot is the sixth-highest in history, but hasn't yet created a frenzy comparable to last November's record-setting jackpot of more than $580 million, the Associated Press reports.
The next drawing is Saturday at 9:59 CST.
