Overnight freezing rain, sleet and snow is winding down Tuesday morning but it will likely slow the morning commute to work and school.

The latest road conditions across Minnesota suggest most roads are totally or partially covered with snow and ice, and slower travel times are already being reported as of 6 a.m.

Here's what plow cameras looked like at 5:30 a.m. on Hwy. 169, Hwy. 61 and Hwy. 10 in and around the Twin Cities.

Roads in southeast Minnesota are ice-covered and "VERY slick," according to the La Crosse branch of the National Weather Service.

The NWS-Twin Cities says the snow, freezing drizzle and mixed precipitation should wind down by mid-morning in most of Minnesota.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, there were 388 accidents statewide on Monday (as of 8:30 p.m.) in addition to 244 spinouts and seven jack-knifed semis.
