The purple pop star, who has tangled with the tax man before, has failed to comply with a summons issued by the Internal Revenue Service on behalf of French tax authorities, U.S. officials said Monday. The French want to know more about concerts he played in France in 2009 and 2010, as well as some other business information, the Star Tribune reports.

Northfield City Council approves domestic partnership registry ordinance

Northfield is the 19th Minnesota city to pass the domestic partner registry. The ordinance goes into effect July 23. It will allow domestic partners to receive family rates for city fees on recreational programs and general services.
