Prince, who once sang a B side cover called "When Will We B Paid," has answered that question to France's satisfaction, his lawyer says.
The Minnesota-born musician has settled up with French tax officials, who say he owed the nation taxes from several 2009 concerts and one in 2010, the Pioneer Press reports.
A lawyer for the Rock-and-Roll-Hall-of-Famer said the artist has now filed the necessary tax returns and that it was a misunderstanding, the Pioneer Press reports. Lawyer Gary Hansen said the artist had believed the returns were filed and the taxes were paid. It's not clear exactly how much the French had claimed Prince owned – or how much might have been paid.
Prince and his representatives did not show up at a meeting called by the Internal Revenue Service in September.
