An FBI facial reconstruction has Minnesota authorities asking for the public's help identifying a woman killed more than a decade ago.

The woman's body was found 15 years ago in Long Lake Park, the New Brighton Department of Public Safety said in an appeal posted on Facebook.

Included are images from the FBI's facial reconstruction, which shows an "approximate likeness" of what the woman would look like. It's not intended to be a perfect representation of how the woman appeared, the post says.

How exactly she died, the department doesn't know, though they do believe it was a homicide.

They don't have her eye color or skin complexion, but believe she was likely 35-45 years old, 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-6, with brown or reddish hair.

They do know she fractured her right middle finger at some point, which then healed. She was missing a tooth on the upper left side of her mouth, which would have been visible when she smiled. She had a lot of dental work done as well, with three root canals.

She also had osteoarthritis in her back.

The New Brighton Department of Public Safety is investigating the death as a homicide, and wants the public's help identifying who it might be. Anyone with information is asked to send them a Facebook message, call them at 651-288-4100, or email mike.lochen@newbrightonmn.gov.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner issued a similar appeal earlier this month, hoping to identify a man found in a Rosemount shed back in 2014. See the details of that case here.
