Murder suspect Lyle "Ty" Hoffman arrested

The man suspected of fatally shooting a prominent Minneapolis executive outside a gas station one month ago is in custody. The Shakopee Police Department tweeted around 11:15 a.m. today that they arrested Lyle "Ty" Hoffman "without incident." Hoffman had been on the run since Kelly Phillips was killed on Aug. 11, prompting multiple manhunts that ultimately ended without an arrest. Details regarding Hoffman's arrest are still scarce at this time.

Minnesota hospitals report rise in respiratory illnesses in children

Doctors tell parents of a New Ulm 4-year-old their daughter likely has Enterovirus D68. If confirmed by the state health department, it would be the first case of the respiratory illness in Minnesota. Several children’s hospitals in the state confirm that they have seen an uptick in the number of youngsters being seen for respiratory ailments. The enterovirus has now been confirmed in 12 states.
