Defense attorney: Man accused of killing officer plans not guilty plea

The defense team for the man accused of killing a Mendota Heights police officer says he plans to plead not guilty. Brian Fitch Sr., 39, was in court Thursday. He's accused of fatally shooting Officer Scott Patrick during a traffic stop July 30. His next court appearance is in October.

Some details revealed about new Holidazzle Village, Christmas Market

It’s beginning to look a lot like ... Holidazzle season. This year, holiday revelers coming to downtown Minneapolis will be able to visit the Holidazzle Village and the Minneapolis Christmas Market along Nicollet Mall. The event will include live reindeer, sales booths and wandering Holidazzle characters. Last year was the final year for the Holidazzle parade.
