WCCO says Matt Brickman, Kim Johnson to join morning news team

Starting in September, Matt Brickman and Kim Johnson will join Jason DeRusha and Jamie Yuccas on WCCO TV's morning newscast. Brickman will replace meteorologist Mike Augustyniak and Johnson will replace Natalie Nyhus. Augustyniak and Nyhus are taking on different roles at the station.

Minnesota leads nation in ACT scores for 9th year in a row

It’s not a perfect score, but it’s the best in the class. A new education report shows Minnesota has the highest average ACT score among states in which at least half the students took the exam. It’s the ninth straight year the state has finished on top. Minnesota also had the highest number of test-takers rank as college-ready in all four of the test’s subject areas: English, math, reading and science.
