Recall: 'Fully cooked' chicken sold throughout MN might be undercooked

The "fully cooked" chicken might not be as cooked as it's supposed to be.

A bunch of "fully cooked" chicken is being recalled because it might not be as cooked as it's supposed to be.

The United States Department of Agriculture says Wayne Farms LLC in Georgia is recalling more than 4,000 pounds of chicken, some of which was sold in Minnesota.

The products affected include 9-pound cases of “Fully Cooked Grilled Chicken Breast Fillets” and 22.5-pound cases of “Fully Cooked Flame Grilled Chicken Breast Fillets.” You can view the product labels here.

They were produced on Aug. 1, 2016 and Aug. 29, 2016.

The USDA has a list of where the chicken was sold. In Minnesota, the products were sold mostly in smaller cities and towns. You can see that list here.

It was also sold in Iowa and North Dakota.

So far, the USDA says there haven't been any confirmed reports of people getting sick from eating the chicken.

If you bought either of these products, Wayne Farms and the USDA urge people not to eat them. Either throw the chicken away or return it to where you bought it.

If you have any questions about the recall, you can contact Wayne Farms at 1-800-241-3110.
