The man who was initially arrested but released and never charged in the shooting death of Cold Spring police officer Tom Decker has been charged with stalking his ex-girlfriend in Wright County, the St. Cloud Times reports.

Ryan Michael Larson, 34, is accused of a pattern of stalking, according to the criminal complaint, the newspaper reported.

Larson was held for several days immediately after the killing of Decker Nov. 29, but was then released for lack of evidence, and he has always said he was innocent.

Police announced significant new details in the case last week, when investigators said that a man they had sought for questioning in the case had killed himself. They also said that they had finally found the gun they believe was used in the killing.
