Released video shows Minneapolis cop shooting at a car in 2016
In an effort to be as transparent with the public as possible, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman released footage showing the moment a Minneapolis police officer fired a shot at a car in 2016.
The video is not graphic, but it does show Officer Efrem Hamilton fire a shot at a vehicle – filled with six people – that had backed into his squad car outside of a club in downtown Minneapolis.

Nobody was injured in the shooting and Hamilton was recently found not guilty of three criminal counts.
He testified in court saying he thought the vehicle that backed into him was that of a suspect related to the fight and reported shooting that he was responding to, Fox 9 reports.
The videos above, along with others, were used as evidence in Hamilton's trial.
