Remains of human torso, leg found in southeast Minnesota
Partial human remains were discovered in Wabasha County on Saturday.
According to the Wabasha County Sheriff's Office, a torso and a leg with a boot on the foot were found about 100 feet from the shore on the Mississippi River.
The latest discovery comes just over a month from the discovery of a human leg and boot in a debris pile near the Mississippi River shoreline about 10 miles southeast of Wabasha.
It's unclear if the remains are related, but both discoveries are being reviewed by a medical examiner.
The release from the sheriff's office says the boot found Saturday is similar to the boot found in July.
FOX 9 reports that police are waiting to hear if the remains belong to boater David Sheridan, who went missing on the Mississippi River in April.
