Authorities are investigating a severe fire at an apartment complex in Mound, Minnesota.

The blaze broke out Saturday afternoon at the Lakewinds apartments, located along the shores of Black Lake on the 4400 block of Wilshire Blvd.

Two people were hurt — with one suffering "major burn injuries" — and  up to 75 displaced, KARE 11 reports.

The station says one resident told authorities that the fire "started in the kitchen of one of the units," though an official cause isn't known yet.

According to WCCO, there were apparently no sprinklers in the building.

No firefighters were injured, the station notes.

Red Cross volunteers were on the scene Saturday night assisting the displaced residents.
