Reports: Suspect in Wisconsin shootings that killed 4 people has died

The suspect also suffered a gunshot wound, which officials initially said was nonfatal.

The man accused of going on a shooting spree in Wisconsin last month has died.

Nengmy Vang, 45, was suspected of fatally shooting three civilians and one police officer March 22 near Wausau in north central Wisconsin.

Vang suffered a gunshot wound, too. Authorities initially reported the injury was nonfatal, and that he'd been taken to the hospital for treatment.

However, WAOW reported this week that family members said Vang's condition was deteriorating.

Then Saturday around 1:30 a.m., the Department of Justice announced the 45-year-old had died, WSAU said.

The shooting victims were Dianne Look, 67, and Karen Barclay, 62 – both were were fatally shot at Marathon Savings Bank.

Attorney Sara Quirt Sann, 43, was killed at a Schofield law office. And Everest Metro Police Officer Jason Weiland, 40, was killed while responding to the scene at the Aspen Street Apartments on Ross Avenue in Weston.

Marathon Savings Bank, where two employees were killed, has set up a “Barclay and Look Family Fund” where people can donate. The bank has also set up a separate foundational gift of $30,000 to the family fund. You can donate via GoFundMe here.

River Valley Bank has set up a Victims Family Fund. The bank will match the first $25,000 donated by April 30. All the money from the fund will be used to help the people affected by the March 22 incident. For information on how to donate, click here.
