Road construction 'mega-project' coming to St. Paul in 2013
The St. Paul City Council and Ramsey County Board of Commissioners approved a three-year, $132 million construction project that will replace I-35E from University Avenue to Maryland Avenue and create a new interchange at Cayuga Street, the Pioneer Press reports.
The Cayuga project is the second of three improvements on I-35E. The first stage involved completely replacing the Maryland Avenue bridge which reopened Tuesday, MnDot tells the newspaper.
According to the project's website, the Cayuga Street bridge, Pennsylvania Avenue bridge and railroad bridges along I-35E will also be replaced.
