Road rage incident precedes fatal motorcycle crash in Hibbing
A road rage incident happened before a motorcycle crash left one person dead and another injured, according to Hibbing Police Department.
The crash happened Saturday, May 1 around 3:05 p.m. on Brooklyn Drive in front of the Napa Auto Parts store in Hibbing. Officers arrived at the location to find medical staff from the Hibbing Fire Department providing aid to two people who were on the motorcycle.
A 46-year-old man, identified as Garry F. Brill, was taken to Fairview Range hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other person on the motorcycle, a 26-year-old woman, was treated and released from the hospital, police said.
"Upon further investigation by officers on scene it was determined that the motorcycle lost {SIC] control on gravel causing the accident," the news release explains.
"It was also determined that the incident began as a road rage incident involving another vehicle, but the other vehicle was not involved in the accident."
