Charlie Coyle of the Wild set a team record on Wednesday night having played in 284 consecutive games. The previous record was held by Antti Laaksonen from 2000-03 with 283 games.
Coyle's streak started early in the 2013-14 season. During the 2014 playoffs, the 24-year-old played through not one, but two separated shoulders.
In 323 career games, the former Boston University product has logged 162 points, 65 goals and 97 assists. He's also played in 29 playoff games during his five-year career.
Through 52 games this season, Coyle is on pace for career highs across the board.
Recently, head coach Bruce Boudreau shifted Coyle back to the center position after playing right wing for most of the season.
