Seven men are behind bars in Rochester this week following a child pornography bust. And the list of suspects – which includes a University of Minnesota Rochester professor – may grow, as police say more arrests are possible.

The arrests come after a 10-month investigation involving not only the Rochester Police Department, but also the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, the Minnesota Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and the FBI, the Rochester Post Bulletin reports.

The newspaper notes about 15 additional cases submitted by the Task Force are awaiting corroboration from local authorities, but "haven't been dropped."

Police say their investigation turned up thousands of photos of videos depicting children as young as one-year-old, according to KTTC.

The ages of the suspects range from 20 to 58. The oldest, Mark McGinley, is charged with producing child pornography with a victim he knew, ABC 6 reports.

Another suspect is Christopher Blake Dezutter, whose U of M Rochester profile lists him as a lecturer in chemistry.

He's been charged with nearly a dozen counts of possessing and disseminating porn depicting a minor, according to the Olmsted County Sheriff's website.

KSTP reports the University of Minnesota is aware of DeZutter's arrest and "is gathering more information." The station says DeZutter is an active employee but not working on campus.

Rochester Police Lieutenant Mike Sadauskis told MPR news that all the investigators involved in the 10-month operation "have been doing this for a number of years," but still found the cases "shocking."

Sadauskis says the cases aren't related.
