Rochester man dies in motorcycle crash in Olmsted County

A motorcyclist was killed in southeast Minnesota wen he lost control and crashed into a sign. 

The crash happened Wednesday around 6:45 p.m. on County Road 2 at County Road 10 NE in Quincy Township, Olmsted County. The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office reports that the motorcyclist approached a curve in the road when he left the roadway and hit the sign. 

Patrick O'Hanlon, 53, of Rochester, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

He was not wearing a helmet, according to the sheriff's office. 

The crash location is approximately 20 miles east of Rochester.
