Rochester man killed in cliff fall in northeastern Minnesota
A Rochester man died in northeastern Minnesota after apparently falling from a cliff while hiking with a friend.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office says Daniel Allman, 29, fell approximately 100 feet from a cliff, landing in the Caribou River below.
He was rescued from the water by his friend, but was pronounced dead at the scene despite lifesaving efforts.
It's not clear how he came to fall from the cliff. No further information has been released.
