Roofer killed by co-worker in Wisconsin circular saw attack, police say

A man from St. Louis has been arrested on homicide charges.

A roofer died in western Wisconsin on Monday after being attacked by a co-worker with a circular saw, police say.

The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. in rural River Falls, about 15 miles south of Hudson, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office.

A roofing contractor identified as Israel Valles-Flores, 37, of St. Louis, Missouri, was found by sheriff's deputies with severe lacerations to his neck and face at property on County Road FF.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Arrested was a 24-year-old man, also from Missouri, who is believed to have caused the injuries with a circular saw.

He has been booked into the Pierce County Jail, awaiting possible charges of first degree intentional homicide.
