Roseville woman, 20, injured in ATV crash, Esko man arrested

A 20-year-old Roseville woman was injured in an ATV crash southwest of Duluth on Saturday night. 

According to the Carlton County Sheriff's Office, the woman was a passenger on the ATV when it crashed around 11:45 p.m. on Wagon Road near the intersection of Larson Road in Thomson Township. 

First responders arrived and found the woman, whose identity has not been released, on the ground and injured. She was transported to St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth and her condition is unknown. 

Authorities suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash and the driver of the ATV has been identified as a 20-year-old man from Esko, who is being held at Carlton County Jail on a pending charges of criminal vehicular operation and driving while impaired. 

The crash remains under investigation.
