It's almost time for the Minnesota Brewery Running Series, where the races begin and end at a taproom.

The 2016 schedules have been released, with tickets to some races already sold out.

According to Growler Magazine, the series is about more than just beer and running. It's meant to showcase Minnesota breweries and their surrounding neighborhoods.

The magazine says there are .5Ks, 5Ks and 10K races for people to chose from, and people of every skill level are welcome.

The first race – which is already sold out – is on April 3. Then the races continue, almost weekly, until Dec. 3.

Some of the breweries featured are Surly, Lakes & Legends, Sociable Cider Werks, and Dangerous Man Brewing.

Registration is $30 for each run. Growler Magazine says participants will get a pint glass or running series souvenir, raffle entry and other giveaways. And, of course, they'll be treated to a beer at the brewery.

Of the money collected, 10 percent will go to benefit Minnesota non-profits – Brewing a Better Forest, People for Parks and Red Shoe Society.
