Ryan Companies U.S. Inc. is in discussions with the Star Tribune to purchase land owned by the Star Tribune in downtown Minneapolis, the Business Journal reports.

This afternoon, the Star Tribune jumped the gun and reported a deal was struck and later took the article offline after a Ryan Cos. spokesperson said the story was not accurate.

A source tells the Business Journal that talks were ongoing, but no agreement has been reached.

The Star Tribune owns five parcels of land that sit adjacent to the future $975 million Vikings stadium.
