Schools close in St. Francis as a precaution over threats

The list of schools receiving threats in Minnesota is growing fast.

Add St. Francis School District to the growing list of Minnesota schools taking precautionary measures after threats against students and staff have been made.

St. Francis schools are closed Friday while St. Francis police investigate threats made by a secondary-level student. 

The announcement went out to the district website at 5:19 a.m. Friday. All ensuing updates will be made here.

Last Friday, St. Francis High School also had an increased police presence after a student made a threat, which police deemed non-credible.

Hill City School in Aitkin County, northern Minnesota, closed on Thursday after threats were made. Two teenage girls have since been arrested, with their threats considered a hoax.
