A body has reportedly been found in the search for a missing boater near Winona.
The Winona County Sheriff's Office says it first received a report of a boat in distress around 7:45 p.m. Friday, relating to an area of the Prairie Island Spillway on the Mississippi River.
When they got there, they found that one person had been rescued by a nearby boater, but a 63-year-old man had gone into the water.
Crews searched until 10:30 p.m. on Friday, before resuming on Saturday morning.
WXOW is now reporting that they have recovered the 63-year-old's body as of Saturday evening, with the discovery made around 8 p.m.
The man has not yet been identified by authorities.
The Prairie Island boat landing had been closed to allow for search teams to conduct its operations.
