Father reports he's safe after being missing almost a week

UPDATE SATURDAY: The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that Brent Latuff has been located safely.

Per KSTP, Latuff made contact with police Saturday morning, and said he was "fine and with a friend."

Authorities are seeking the public's help finding a father and husband who has been missing for almost a week.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office in Alexandria issued an appeal Friday to find Brent Latuff, 49.

He was last seen Sunday, June 28, when he left his family's cabin on County Road 11 NE, near Lake Carlos.

Family and friends have not been able to contact him, and there's been no activity on his cellphone.

He was driving a grayish/brown sand colored 2010 Toyota Tundra pickup with Minnesota license plate 698VZE.

He was also pulling a silver/gray enclosed trailer with a greenish brown canoe on top.

A post from his cousin on Facebook read: "His wife, children and family miss him dearly and we are praying for his safe return."
