Searchers in North Dakota found a body they believe is that of missing deer hunter Travis Wade Vorachek, law enforcement officials announced at a Monday news conference.

The Forum News Service reports the body was found early Monday afternoon, and was sent to the University of North Dakota for an autopsy and positive identification.

Sheriff Ron Jurgens said Monday the clothing on the body matched what Vorachek was wearing that night, according to Valley News Live.

Vorachek, 45, of Grand Forks, went missing Friday night after he spoke to his wife on his cellphone. He did not show up to meet his father Saturday morning to go hunting as scheduled.

His father found his overturned ATV a quarter mile from his pickup truck.

Jurgens said it appears Vorachek crashed his ATV Friday night in a rugged part of Walsh County and he may have become disoriented as he tried to walk back to his truck.

The body was found in an area thick with water and cattails, about a quarter of a mile from where Voarchek's ATV was found, according to Valley News Live.

The sheriff said there was no indication Vorachek was seriously injured in the rollover; Jurgens suspects he succumbed to the elements.

Hundreds of volunteers showed up over the weekend to help search for Vorachek, and a U.S. Customs and Border Protection helicopter surveyed the area in places inaccessible to volunteers on foot.
