Search teams find body of Minnesota man reported missing

The body of a Nashwauk man who went missing earlier this month has been located.

The Itasca County Sheriff’s Office announced on Facebook that the body of Timothy Alan Dasovich had been found near Hawkins Pit in Nashwauk on Sunday. According to the department, the last contact with Dasovich was made on Sep. 14, and he was reported missing the next day.

“We want to again give our condolences to the family and friends of Timothy Dasovich and thank every person that helped in the search,” the Itasca County Sheriff's Office statement read. 

The Minnesota State Patrol, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, the Nashwauk Police Department and other agencies, volunteers and businesses assisted with the search.
