Authorities in Itasca County are looking for a missing motorcyclist who was last seen early Thursday morning.

Ryan Whitworth, a 40-year-old resident of Cohasset, left home around 6 a.m. on August 5 and "has not returned or spoken to family since":

According to the Itasca County Sheriff's Office, Whitworth's last known location was "south of Remer near MN 6 and County Road 7 NE."

A news release says he's known to ride his motorcycle wearing black leather chaps, a black leather jacket and a black "full face" helmet.

His bike is a 2008 purple-metallic Harley-Davidson with the license plate 96611MJ.

He's described as six feet tall and 220 pounds with red hair and hazel eyes.

Social media posts indicate he's a veteran as well as the father of two young children.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call 911 or the Itasca County sheriff at 218-326-3477.
