I-35E among weekend closures in Twin Cities
Another round of road closures will create some obstacles this weekend for those traveling around the Twin Cities. Motorists are encouraged to avoid both directions of Interstate 35E will between I-94 and Highway 36. It will be closed for 24 hours staring at 4 a.m. Saturday. The Pioneer Press reports crews will be using a giant automated conveyor belt to move the new Maryland Avenue bridge into position over the interstate in St. Paul.
Highway 100 northbound will be closed from Highway 62 to Interstate 394 from 5 a.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday, the Star Tribune reports.
Both directions of Highway 55/Hiawatha Avenue will also be closed Sunday through Monday for repairs on the Martin Olav Sabo pedestrian bridge, according to WCCO.
