This picture was not taken at the beach, or at a '70s disco, but during a hold-up at a bank in White Bear Lake.

White Bear Lake police say a man donning large, white-rimmed sunglasses held up the Lake Area Bank at 1400 Highway 96 at 11:19 a.m. on Tuesday.

The suspect entered the bank and handed a teller a note that demanded cash, and implied he had a gun.

He didn't show any weapon to staff, but left on foot and was not found despite an "extensive search" by police.

Police are still investigating other details of the robbery, but have described the man as around 6 feet tall, 25-30 years old, "heavy-set" and "muscular."

He was wearing a light-colored, long-sleeved shirt with dark pants, a dark hat and – of course – the sunglasses.

Anyone with information about the robbery should call the police department on 651-429-8511.
