A semi rolled over while navigating a sharp turn on I-35W in Minneapolis Saturday morning, shutting down the busy stretch of highway for more than three hours.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the incident happened about 11:30 a.m. on the northbound side, under the Portland Avenue bridge, when the highway veers east and meets up with I-94.

The truck was blocking the left two lanes, the State Patrol says, and northbound 35W was blocked at 94 until around 3 p.m. The truck, which the state patrol says was carrying a load of bananas, was righted and towed away, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident, according to the agency.

The driver was identified by the State Patrol as a 38-year-old from Gulfport, Mississippi. His physical condition was not documented.

Here are a few more photos of the scene earlier Saturday.
