As for northern Minnesota, strong winds accompanied thunderstorms during the day and produced a gale warning on Lake Superior. Rain was changing to snow overnight. The area from Brainerd through the Iron Range to International Falls could see up to six inches on the ground Monday.
Meanwhile, an Iowa town damaged by an apparent tornado Saturday night reports emergency sirens failed to sound. A hospital and community college were damaged in Creston but no injuries were reported.
