Shakopee police offer reward after weekend wave of vandalism

More than 30 reports of car windows being shot out by BB guns were received.

Police in Shakopee are offering a $500 reward to find those responsible for a vandalism wave over the weekend.

Shakopee PD said it received 33 calls about vehicles being damaged between Friday evening and Saturday afternoon.

Most of these reports were about car windows being shot out by what police say appears to have been a BB gun.

The department issued a map of where the reports originated, showing most happened in the downtown area, with a cluster also in the east of the city near Hwy. 169.

Anyone with information is asked to call 952-233-9440 with any tips. To submit a tip anonymously, text TIP411.

No details of the suspect(s) or vehicle(s) involved have been released at this stage.
