Sheriff: Body found at campsite in western Wisconsin

A death investigation is ongoing in western Wisconsin after a body was found at a campsite. 

The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office was alerted to the discovery of a man's body found outside a camper at a Willow River State Park campsite. The report was made around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. 

The Hudson Star Observer reports that Sheriff Scott Knudson said it "does not appear the public is in any danger," but it's too early to say if foul play factored in the man's death.

The man's identity and cause of death have not been released. has not been released.
