Sheriff: Drug-related armed robbery investigation in Crow Wing County

It happened Dec. 14 but was just recently reported to law enforcement.

Details are limited but the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office issued a press release this week saying it is investigating an armed robbery at a home in a rural area.

The armed robbery happened in an "unorganized territory" along Hwy. 371 on Dec. 14, but it wasn't reported to law enforcement until recently.

"Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Investigators have identified multiple suspects and witnesses related to the robbery and continue their investigation," the release from Sheriff Todd Dahl says.

The report notes that the robbery is believed to be drug related and that the suspects knew the victims.

No one was injured and authorities don't believe there is any threat to the general public.
