Sheriff says shootings outside Austin club likely gang related
Mower County Sheriff Terese Amazi said Tuesday that the shootings that took place outside of an Austin night club around midnight Sunday was likely gang related, the Austin Daily Herald Reported.
Five people were injured in the shooting mishap, two critically. One person has been released from the hospital so far.
The shootings happened outside of the Lansing Corners supper club, a one-time diner converted into an events center. Authorities say the shooting took place after a ”hip hop-rap”-type event.
Authorities said there has been no cooperation from potential witnesses of the shooting out of fear of retaliation, the Daily Herald reported.
