Sheriff: Suspicious man offering females rides in northwest Minnesota

Law enforcement in northwest Minnesota has alerted the public to what they're calling a "suspicious person" driving around and asking females if they want a ride. 

The first incident occurred in Fosston during the afternoon of Saturday, June 27, with the second incident also happening in Fosston on Tuesday morning, June 30.

In both cases, the females declined the offer, but the man continued to ask them if they needed a ride before eventually leaving the area, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office. 

The suspicious person is described as a heavy-set white man with a white beard, and he is approximately 60 years old. The vehicle the person was driving on the first occasion was described to police as a tan SUV, with the second incident involving a teal pickup.
