Sheriff: Turkey hunter found dead in west-central Minnesota

Authorities say it appears the man died of natural causes.

Authorities believe that a hunter who was found dead in a ditch in west-central Minnesota died of natural causes. 

According to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office, a 62-year-old Spicer man was found unresponsive in a road ditch on 292nd Ave. NW near 133rd St. NW in Norway Lake Township around 10:20 a.m. Thursday, April 23. 

Investigators determined that the man had been turkey hunting. A gun was recovered at the scene but was not involved in his death. 

The man was identified Friday morning by the sheriff's office as Harlan Brogren.
