A man and a woman who were killed in a crash with another pick-up truck late Thursday in Osceola, Wisconsin, near the border of Minnesota, have been identified.

The Polk County, Wisconsin Sheriff's Office on Monday identified the two people killed in the crash as Scott Brust, 58, and Lisa Swanson, 53, both of Cushing, Wisconsin.

They were traveling northbound on Highway 35 north of 90th Avenue around 11:30 p.m. when their pick-up truck crashed "nearly head-on" with another pick-up truck traveling southbound, the sheriff's office said.

The crash happened near the center of the road, with the "impact area of damage" starting in the northbound lane. After the crash, both vehicles were in the southbound lane, with the crash causing Brust and Swanson's pick-up truck to roll onto the driver's side.

The lone occupant, a man, in the other pick-up truck had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to the hospital with "substantial injuries." Brust and Swanson were declared dead at the scene.

No other details about the crash have been released.
