A shooting involving at least four suspects broke out in Brooklyn Park at a memorial for a 17-year-old victim who was shot there earlier in the day.
According to the Brooklyn Park Police Department, police responded to the African Market, 5700 Brookdale Drive N, at 11:01 p.m. Tuesday after multiple 911 callers reported a "large group" of people were shooting at each other.
The suspects left the area on foot and in vehicles. Police located and arrested four suspects.
No one was injured in the shooting, but numerous vehicles were struck, police said. The incident remains under investigation.
The shooting happened at a memorial that was set up for a 17-year-old boy who was fatally shot at 5700 Brookdale Drive N earlier in the day.
Police responded to the African Market at 3:42 p.m. Tuesday, where they found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds, a news release said.
Officers rendered aid and the victim was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.
Police believe the suspect walked up to a parked car and shot the victim while he was sitting in his vehicle.
The motive for the shooting is unclear, but police believe "several suspects" were involved and fled the scene on foot.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, with police noting additional details will be released as soon as available.
