Shooting in small town in west-central Minnesota leaves 1 dead, 1 in custody

One person is dead following a shooting inside a home in west-central Minnesota. 

The Becker County Sheriff's Office reports that it received a report of shots fired at a residence in Audubon at 4:41 p.m. Tuesday. 

Details about what happened next are unclear, but the sheriff's office has confirmed that one man was killed in the shooting and a 29-year-old Audubon man was arrested and booked into Becker County Jail. 

The incident remains under investigation and there is no threat to the general public. 

The identity of the victim is currently being withheld. 

Audubon is town of just over 500 people, about seven miles northwest of Detroit Lakes on Hwy. 10.
