Shooting leaves 1 dead in north Minneapolis, police investigating

It happened on the 1000 block of Morgan Avenue North.

Minneapolis police are investigating and asking the public for information after a shooting left one person dead on Thursday night.

The shooting happened around 8:11 p.m. when Minneapolis Police Department's Fourth Precinct was informed of a shooting on the 1000 block of Morgan Avenue North. Officers arrived at the scene and found an adult male without a pulse.

Life-saving efforts were attempted but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending an autopsy by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.

It is believed that the victim and suspect in the shooting knew each other, police say.
