The 16-year-old boy from Sleepy Eye reported missing a week ago has been found safe.

Tanner Klammer had last been seen at school in New Ulm on Friday, May 10, and had not returned to his home in Sleepy Eye that night.

His cellphone had been found in the drive-thru lane at a Taco John's in New Ulm, with an appeal to find him going public on Monday.

It was called off on Friday after he was located safely.

The City of Sleepy Eye says police had spoken with Tanner's family and confirmed he was safe and with them.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension confirmed this, thanking the public for spreading the word about his disappearance.

There has been no information released as to where he's been the past week.
