After a prize-winning rabbit was stolen from a county fair in Minnesota we ask: Is nothing sacred anymore?

Owner Marisa Wagaman has appealed for help finding her beloved Siamese-colored Holland Lop named "Smokey," who went missing from the Steele County Fair in Owatonna on Friday.

The 18-year-old from Medford Township, who is studying at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, made a plea on Facebook saying she is "heartbroken."

He was last seen in the 4-H rabbit barn after putting in a stunning performance during the fair that saw him named "Super Bunny."

Speaking to the Owatonna People's Press, she said she's still holding out hope that Smokey got out of his cage on his own, but thinks it's more than likely that he was stolen.

She took Smokey to last year's Minnesota State Fair where he made the final line-up, and had planned to show him again next year as a breeding rabbit.

"It was the saddest moment of my life," she told the paper, describing the moment she realized her bunny was gone.

Wagaman is offering a $100 reward for Smokey's safe return.
