Someone is stealing American flags in Hopkins

Police are hoping to speak to the driver of this vehicle regarding recent thefts of American flags in Hopkins.
Police in Hopkins are searching for someone who is stealing American flags.
Hopkins Police Department said on Tuesday it has taken "several reports" of American flags being damaged or stolen from the 100-200 block of 17th Avenue North and the surrounding avenues.
Sgt. Michael Glassberg told Bring Me The News the department has received nine reports of stolen flags and one report of a damaged flag from homes in the residential area north of Main Street and south of Highway 7.
The 10 incidents that have been reported happened during the overnight hours from Jan. 4-Jan. 5.
Police are hoping to speak to the owner of a vehicle (pictured above and below) that was captured on video in connection to the recent thefts.
Police are also asking residents and business owners in the area who have surveillance video to check their video from Monday night to see if it captured the incidents.
Anyone with surveillance video or information on the vehicle or the incidents is asked to call the department at 952-258-5321 and if you see suspicious activity, call 911 right away.
Meanwhile, Glassberg says these thefts may not be just in Hopkins. He believes Minneapolis police had a similar incident, so Hopkins PD is discussing with them.
